Responsible collection of our waste materials is of great importance to us

Waste Efficiencies

With landfill now becoming a finite and expensive resource, we are continually seeking out new and innovative solutions to recyclemore of our waste. We only use certified and approved waste disposal companies to ensure they work closely with the Environmental Agency and are up to date with all regulatory aspects.

  • We have also invested in a baling machine to compact our cardboard waste into smaller, denser, easy to recycle bundles which enables less frequent collection
  • We recycle printer cartridges, electronic equipment and paper waste
  • We are cutting down on the use of paper communications, using email to send customer invoices, statements and other internal and external correspondence wherever possible
  • We use telecommunication facilities for group inter-company meetings to reduce the travelling and vehicles emissions where possible
  • The blending flush we use to clean out our lubricant tanks in the manufacturing process is recycled into chain oil.

Proud Members of the Green Tractor Scheme

The Green Tractor Scheme’s ambition is to provide UK agriculture with the ability to recycle all farm plastic packaging by 2030. The scheme offers the agricultural industry a whole network of collection and processing points using approved partners for the correct disposal of waste.

The Scheme says “although agricultural plastics only represent 3% of the total plastics used in the UK, it is important that this high profile sector continues to improve producer responsibility. Plastics provide important benefits to the sector in the terms of efficient food production, but it is essential that responsibility for the recycling of this product is shared across the sector, and all used products that areno longer required, are treated in line with best practice.”

Following the introduction of our 30% recycled materials packaging, bulk storage solutions and barrel recycling scheme we are already working hard to do as much as we can for the environment. However, as many of our products are provided still in plastic containers, we also want to promote the scheme to our customers, to spread the word and encourage them to get involved too.
