British F4: Can JHR Developments turn the tide in title fight?

JHR Developments will head to Brands Hatch, Kent this weekend (26-27 June) looking to use a stellar weekend at Snetterton last time out as a springboard to launch their championship bid.

The Derbyshire-based team, running in partnership with Motul and Witham Motorsport, were the class of the field last time out in Norfolk, storming to another brace of pole positions in the hands of Matthew Rees.

The Welsh teenager, maintaining his perfect qualifying record in the process, then converted both into lights-to-flag victories to propel himself into second in the standings, 25 points adrift of James Hedley heading into the weekend.

Another ultra-consistent showing from McKenzy Cresswell netted him a third podium in four races, and he sits third outright, a few points back from Rees and still top of the Rookie Cup standings.

A brace of points finishes last time out could prove to be the foundations on which Abbi Pulling re-builds her title bid after a rollercoaster start to the season.

The 18-year-old thrilled the returning trackside audience with some great wheel-to-wheel action last time out, consigning a frustrating season opener at Thruxton to memory and putting herself back in the mix at the front.

Both she and Thruxton race winner Joseph Loake will be pushing hard to join their team-mates at the championship summit this weekend, whilst JHR also look to close a 27-point deficit to current leaders Fortec Motorsport in the Teams Cup.

Qualifying around the 1.2-mile Indy circuit takes place at 10:55 on Saturday, with the reverse grid race to follow at 15:50.

Sunday features another pair of contests at 10:00 and 13:50 respectively, with the latter shown live on ITV3.
