30 Years Strong: Woco Paint Still Shining

At Witham Group, we’ve always prided ourselves on our commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. But sometimes, the most remarkable stories begin with a simple can of paint. One of our long-standing, two-generation customers recently shared a fascinating tale.

Over 30 years ago, they purchased a batch of not quite perfectly matched “Mid Brunswick Green” Woco paint in a Hammer finish gloss that was at reduced price. The paint was on sale as the colour match was not to the usual standard. The product was to paint his farm machinery and the customer said he still liked the colour despite it not being the perfect shade.

This special offer proved to be a stroke of luck. The paint, while not quite the perfect colour, was undeniably high-quality and fantastic value and did a great job.

Little did we know then that this seemingly ordinary transaction would spark a trend that would shape our future. Our customer’s satisfaction with the product led to us offering bespoke colours on our industrial and decorative paints,  tailored to the specific needs of customers, particularly farming estates and their personal choice of colour schemes across the UK.

Today Witham Group supply hundreds of thousands of litres of different types of paints and coatings with bespoke colour ranges for customers. We are so proud to see this customer still using the same paint from the same tins, all these years later. This story is a testament to the enduring power of quality of our Woco Paints and the unexpected ways in which innovation can emerge.
