British F4: JHR Developments look to build on Thruxton silverware

After locking out the front two rows of the grid in qualifying at Thruxton, everything looked set for a silverware-laden weekend for JHR Developments in British Formula 4.

The weather conspired against the quartet during a wet-dry opener, with a gamble for those further back on slick tyres paying dividends on this occasion.

After charging up the order in Sunday morning’s reverse grid race, the Derbyshire team then ended the weekend at Thruxton on a high with a 1-2 finish courtesy of Joseph Loake and McKenzy Cresswell, who currently leads the way in the Rookie Cup.

Both they and team-mates Matthew Rees and Abbi Pulling will be looking for another strong display at Snetterton as the team look to close on early leader James Hedley.

The Motul-backed outfit have enjoyed plenty of success at the 2.97-mile Norfolk circuit in previous years, including a double victory for Sennan Fielding back in 2016.

Conversely to the BTCC, Saturday features the majority of the action this time around, with Qualifying (09:05) and the opening two races at 13:25 and 17:20 respectively.

Sunday’s action will also be featured on ITV4, with one final contest at 12:15 to round out another action-packed triple header.
