British F4: JHR Developments look to keep the pressure on in Fife

JHR Developments head to Knockhill, Fife this weekend (14-15 August) looking to keep the pressure on at the summit of the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost standings.

The Derbyshire-based outfit make the annual trek north of the Scottish border to the 1.2-mile circuit well-placed to strike in all three championships across what promises to be another action-packed triple header.

Matthew Rees and McKenzy Cresswell arrive as championship leader James Hedley’s closest rivals once again, whilst victory at Oulton Park has leapfrogged Joseph Loake from ninth to fourth in the standings.

Abbi Pulling showed strong pace in the final of the team’s four challengers during pre-event testing, fuelling optimism for a successful weekend; JHR have taken three victories at Knockhill in the past, one apiece for Sennan Fielding, Ayrton Simmons and Carter Williams.

Rees now leads the Rookie Cup after a reversal of fortunes with Cresswell in Cheshire, the gap between them some 20 markers, whilst in the Teams Cup it remains a 22-point deficit between JHR and current leaders Fortec Motorsport.

Characterised by its steep changes in gradient and fast, flowing corners, Knockhill is often compared to a rollercoaster, and offers one of the most complete tests of a driver’s skill, bravery, and consistency on the calendar.

Following a further day of testing on Friday, the competitive action commences with qualifying at 10:55 on Saturday, ahead of the opening race at 16:10.

Sunday features another double header at 10:15 and 15:55, the latter set to be broadcast live in the UK alongside the BTCC on ITV4.
