Innovative new eco lubricant unveiled at LAMMA 2017

The Witham Group will be showcasing an innovative new product at the LAMMA 2017 show on the 18th January.  ‘Prolan’ is an environmentally friendly, protective lubricant that provides incredibly long lasting protection from rust and corrosion.
Prolan is unique as it’s made from lanolin derived from sheep’s wool and a blend of natural oils. It is a powerful natural moisturiser and protector which has proven to be extremely effective for preventing corrosion, even in the toughest environments.
Agriculture is hard on machinery and constant protection is required from the daily exposure to water, fertilizer, manure and pesticides.  Prolan lubricants provide outstanding protection of farm equipment, keeping it lubricated to prevent breakdowns that can be caused by corrosion.  It acts as a rust shield and can extend the longevity of farm machinery, therefore adding value to eventual resale.
Prolan is completely natural, non-toxic and non-carcinogenic and so surpasses other petrochemical products as a safer, environmentally sustainable alternative.   It is these green credentials that got the product range shortlisted for this year’s LAMMA Innovation awards in the environmental category.
The product range also has NSF International food safety approval for both H1 and H2 requirements. This means it is certified as approved “food-grade lubricants” and can be used to protect machinery in sensitive environments such as dairy farms and suppliers of food chain produce. Using the correct lubricant in these situations is clearly crucial.
Lubricants and greases are so widely used in the agricultural world and this new product offers a more environmentally friendly, sustainable alternative that also performs with outstanding results.
The Witham Group are long-time supporters of the LAMMA show, and in fact, Witham Chairman Geoff Bottom was part of the team behind its inception back in 1991.
Nigel Bottom, Witham Group MD said:  “We’re very excited to be showcasing Prolan at LAMMA and delighted to have been shortlisted for an Innovation Award.  Prolan is unique as it’s incredibly durable and protective against corrosion, yet completely natural and environmentally friendly.  We’ve already signed deals to supply Prolan to UK plant and machinery manufactures and distributors, and initial customer feedback has been very positive”.
The Witham Group will be exhibiting at LAMMA in Hall 1, stand 121 on the 18th and 19th January.  Come and see us there!
