Witham Group is proud to announce that we have raised a fantastic £8,000 for four deserving charities during our recent annual charity ball.

The event, held in January at the Hilton Double Tree Hotel, brought together team members, customers, and suppliers in a collective effort to make a positive impact.  Our commitment to supporting local communities was evident as attendees rallied together to support charitable causes, chosen for being close to the hearts of colleagues.

“We are thrilled to announce that our annual charity event was a tremendous success,” said Nigel R Bottom, Witham Group MD.  “This achievement is a testament to the generosity and dedication of our team members, partners, and supporters who have wholeheartedly contributed to these fantastic charities.”

The £8,000 raised has been equally distributed among the following four charities, each dedicated to making a difference in their respective areas of focus:

Lincolnshire & Notts Air Ambulance

LNAA is a charity providing pre-hospital critical care to people in Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire. The medical team respond to an average of 5 call outs a day and went to 1,630 incidents last year. With no government or NHS funding, the LNAA relies on vital donations to keep flying – at a cost of £10m per year.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. This charity funds specialist nurses, youth support teams and hospital units within the NHS to provide the very best care and support during treatment and beyond, making sure cancer doesn’t stop young people living their lives.

Help for Heroes

This charity provides vital support to our Armed Forces Community to help them live well after service. Our services can tackle problems that veterans and their families experience such as struggling to find a job or somewhere to live, cook, manage money, apply for benefits, or get the healthcare support they need, isolation and loneliness are also big problems in the veteran community.

Our donation of £2000 could pay for 30 veterans to each have a one-hour session with one of our mental health councillors, to help work through the difficulties that have put their lives on hold.
