Witham Group shortlisted in Technology and Innovation Awards

We are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2020 Lincolnshire Technology and Innovation Awards.  Organised by business news website, CityX, this annual event recognises, celebrates and rewards Lincolnshire’s businesses and enterprising individuals. 

The Witham Group has been shortlisted as one of 70 businesses out of 100 entries, and we are proud to be a finalist in the ‘Innovation in Sustainability’ category for our unique new blending solution called Blendtek, which uses Ultrasound technology as opposed to traditional high fossil fuel energy consumption. This winner of this category will be awarded to the company that has evidenced how they have innovated to improve the sustainability of their company, a community or indeed the world around us in 2020.

As manufacturers of a huge range of different viscosity lubricants,
this new technique removes the need for the traditional base oils and formulas
to be heated for long periods of time using gas and other fossil fuels. Thanks
to this new process, we are able to blend thousands of tonnes of products using
solar panels and a simple 13amp plug, saving time, energy and reducing
drastically our carbon footprint.

Our aim is to become the first lubricant manufacturer in the world to have a carbon neutral blending process and we are immensely proud of this innovation and all that we are doing to help the environment within our business.

Winners will be announced at the 6th annual awards ceremony which is due to take place on Thursday 1 October at The Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground.
