Farmer Avoids Fertiliser Corrosion with Prolan

Our customer, South Pickenham Estates, which is a traditional country estate set in mid Norfolk near Swaffham, wanted to protect their new Amazone fertiliser spreader. It is used to spread Nitrogen, which is very corrosive, and they wanted to protect the paintwork and working parts of the machine.

We recommended Prolan Heavy Grade Lubricant as a rust prohibitor, which the Farm Manager was very happy to use as they had already used it to protect their Sands Sprayer from corrosion when spraying liquid urea and were very happy with its effectiveness.

Our Award Winning Prolan works on almost any surface including metal, rubber, steel, vehicles, vinyl and painted areas. Each of the 5 viscosity grades offer specialist benefits which include staying on in harsh conditions, lifting rust scale, resisting acids and alkalis, removing dirt and grime and of course as an everyday water displacement fluid. The lighter grades are ideal for day to day lubrication and for eliminating squeaks!

Prolan’s unique lanolin-based formula contains linseed and offers outstanding natural moisture repellent qualities so is also great as a wood preserver preventing outdoor rot and greening. Safe for marine environments, waterways, forestry areas, agriculture and food production plants, it is internationally certified by NSF. Prolan is also non-conductive, so it can be used for electrical wiring and connections such as engine batteries.
