RopeQual 00

This is a semi-fluid wire rope lubricant designed to meet the lubrication and corrosion prevention requirements of wire ropes working under all conditions. Typical application areas are dockside and ship crane ropes, drag lines, hoists and mobile cranes. RopeQual 00 will penetrate between the rope strands to provide integral lubrication and to provide both internal and external protection against corrosion caused by wet, adverse weather conditions and sea water.

(As a secondary application, this product is also suitable for use in enclosed fluid grease lubricated gearboxes that would incorporate spur, worm helical, and bevel drive gears operating at ambient temperatures).

Apply sparingly by brush, do not over apply. (1kg is sufficient to lubricate 50m of 25mm dia rope). When the rope is in use, the capillary action of the lubricant will ensure full penetration to the core of the rope. Use straight from the container, even in cold weather. For best results, RopeQual 00 should be applied to clean ropes to ensure complete penetration.

(Should it not be possible to clean the ropes of previous lubricant, then apply RopeQual 00 on top of the previous lubricant to soften it, work the rope for one week, then make a further application).
